The CRPF has established three new forward bases in Maoist violence affected districts of Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region to facilitate intensified anti-Naxal operations. These strategic hubs in Tumpalpad, Rayagudem, and Kondapalli act as launching pads for security forces to conduct intelligence-based operations in core Naxalite areas. These villages have historically served as logistical centers and training areas for the Maoists, with Kondapalli being a significant recruitment center for the PLGA battalion no. 1.
