On November 17, 2024, India’s DRDO successfully tested a long-range hypersonic missile from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha, with a range exceeding 1,500 kilometers, enhancing India’s defense capabilities. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hailed the achievement, placing India among select nations with advanced military technologies. The missile was developed domestically by DRDO’s Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex, Hyderabad, in collaboration with other labs and industry partners.
