The DRDO successfully conducted the maiden flight test of its Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile (LRLACM) at the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha. The missile demonstrated advanced capabilities, executing pre-programmed paths with waypoint navigation, complex manoeuvres at different speeds and altitudes, and showcased versatility and precision. Developed by DRDO’s Aeronautical Development Establishment in Bengaluru, the LRLACM is equipped with state-of-the-art avionics and software, designed for launch from mobile ground-based systems and frontline ships, enhancing operational flexibility.
