Sanctioned companies didn't violate Indian laws: MEA

The Ministry of External Affairs stated that Indian companies sanctioned by the US for allegedly aiding Russian military efforts are not breaking Indian laws, as India has strong non-proliferation controls in place and is a member of key international export control regimes. The ministry is working with relevant departments to educate domestic companies on export control provisions and address any impacts from new measures. The sanctioned Indian firms primarily consist of trading companies with no US business links.
