Hezbollah has confirmed that Hashem Safieddine, a key leader and potential successor to Hassan Nasrallah, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut’s southern suburbs. Safieddine, the head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, managed various projects and had strong ties to Iran. Israeli forces also targeted other senior Hezbollah figures, leading to condemnation from Hezbollah as a “criminal and aggressive Zionist raid.”
