Reliance Infrastructure announced plans to invest over Rs 10,000 crore in setting up the largest integrated project for manufacturing explosives, ammunition, and small arms in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra over the next 10 years. The company has been allotted 1000 acres of land to develop Dhirubhai Ambani Defence City (DADC), which will be the largest greenfield project in the Indian defense sector. Reliance’s subsidiaries already have licenses for manufacturing arms and ammunition, and potential joint ventures with global defense companies are envisaged for the project.
