The United States called for an end to the Israel-Hezbollah war and urged the enforcement of a UN resolution requiring Hezbollah to withdraw from south Lebanon. US envoy Amos Hochstein met with Hezbollah ally Nabih Berri in Lebanon to push for peace, emphasizing that tying Lebanon’s future to regional conflicts is not in the interest of the Lebanese people.
