Defence minister Rajnath Singh expressed confidence in the growing defence manufacturing ecosystem in India, urging the private industry to lead the sector with innovative solutions for unconventional warfare. Emphasizing the need for R&D in defence to meet evolving armed forces’ requirements, Singh highlighted the Technology Development Fund’s success in promoting research and development by startups. He also launched challenges for the industry on disruptive technologies and handed over indigenous technologies developed under the TDF scheme to DRDO.
