Intelligence services had been searching for Sinwar for months, gradually restricting his operational area. The operation that resulted in Sinwar’s death was not a planned targeted strike but rather infantry soldiers stumbled upon him in the Tal El Sultan area of southern Gaza. Dental records, fingerprints, and DNA testing confirmed his identity. The Israeli military stated that their operations in the region had restricted Sinwar’s movements, ultimately leading to his elimination.
