A man named Konstantin Gavrilov, a 45-year-old Singapore permanent resident and Russian national, was sentenced to 10 days in jail for assaulting a security officer at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) after a night of drinking. Following disturbances at the club, he struck the officer in the face and placed him in a chokehold while being escorted out in an elevator. Gavrilov, who admitted to consuming alcohol, was arrested after the incident, which was captured on CCTV, and has since repaid the victim for his broken spectacles.
